Hobart can be found on Tasmania, an island off the south east coast of Australia. Arriving by air is the most convenient and the most popular way of arriving although it is also possible to arrive by sea. The Spirit of Tasmania provides ferry services to transport passengers and their vehicles from Melbourne and Devornport to Hobart. It is a spacious ferry which can accommodate more than 600 vehicles and 1,200 passengers. However, the trip is quite long, approximately 14 hours, so, if you do not wish to take your vehicle to Hobart, flying is a much quicker option.
