Generally the climate in Hungary is warm yet diverse with a huge variation between winter and summer temperatures most years. Expect snow during the winter months between November and February, even in the supposedly warmer southern oasis of Pecs; and summer temperatures that have on occasion in recent years reached over 40C, although the average between May and September is somewhere around 30C.
