There is plenty to see and do in the area surrounding Reykjavik, providing some good opportunities for day trips. One of the most popular, and something of a must do here is a trip to the Blue Lagoon, where you can relax in the hot geothermal seawater. Another popular tour is the so called ‘Golden Circle’ taking in some of the main sites in the area, including the Gulfoss waterfall.
