Killarney can be reached by road, rail and air. The town itself is best explored on foot, as most attractions and things to do are within easy walking distance of the centre. However, in order to enjoy the surrounding area, it is a good idea to hire a car. Regular bus services are available from both Dublin and Cork. Locally, a limited bus service is available while the buses touring the Ring of Kerry operate only from late spring through the summer season.
