There are a number of options available for travelling to Siena, including flying, train, bus and car. By car, if you are arriving from the north, then take the Chiantigiana (SS 222) from Florence or the highway (SS 2). Arriving from the south, you should take the Autoway from Rome (A1) followed by the state highway (326). Note that cars are strictly prohibited in the historical centre and there are car parks just outside the main city walls.
