Busan has its own airport, Busan Gimhae Airport, located across the Nakdong River from Busan. The airport receives both domestic flights from major cities in Korea and international flights mostly from Japan, China and Bangkok. The airport is quite small with limited facilities. However, a new international terminal will be open soon to receive the great number of tourists who flock to Busan each year.
