Kandy can be easily reached by air, rail and road. Located about 116kms from Colombo, Kandy is one of the most visited destinations in Sri Lanka due to its convenient location and beautiful sceneries. The easiest way to reach Kandy on road is by bus. The bus leaves from Pettah every half and hour. There are also luxurious air-conditioned buses arriving from Colombo in Kandy via Dambulla, which usually take about three hours. Kandy’s bus station is within an easy walking distance of the city centre.
