The city of Keelung is less than an hour’s drive from Taipei and its main attraction is the 72 feet tall statue of Kuan Yin, the Goddess of Mercy. The statue is a brilliant white and from here visitors can enjoy the stunning views of Keelung Harbour. Yehliu Park, not too far away from Keelung, has some incredible rock formations that have been shaped by centuries of wind and waves.
