There are two ways to get to Phi Phi Don, by boat or helicopter. The latter is ruled out to all but the very wealthy and was discontinued after the tsunami for the foreseeable future. Boats leave Krabi town at 10.30 and 14.30, with return journeys from Phi Phi at 9.00 and 13.30, taking 90 minutes. There is also an additional boat from Ao Nang beach in Krabi leaving at 9.00, returning at 15.00. Services also run directly from Koh Lanta island, leaving at 8.00 and 13.00, returning at 11.30 and 14.00.
