For those who like outdoor activities, Vanuatu has much to offer. The island of Efate presents an excellent base for diving and other water sports. Land rats can enjoy golf, bird watching or tours of the local markets. Diving can be enjoyed from a multitude of dive sites, many of which can be found off Efate. There are numerous wrecks around Vila and Mele Bays, mainly freighters, and also the Star of Russia (possibly built by the same shipyard that constructed the Titanic) and the former Qantas flying boat, Tasman.
